In ICT sector, served as the Chairman of the Governing Council of United Nations Economic and Social Commision of Asia and Pacific’s The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development(UNESCAP/APCICT).

Served as a Board Director of Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA), Lanka Government Information Infrastructure Ltd (LGII) and LK Domain Pvt Ltd. Served as a member of Knowledge Hub Steering Committee and the Member/Coordinator IT of Presidential Task Force of IT of Government of Sri Lanka.

Has an outstanding track record as the CEO in Organizational Transformation and business turnaround at Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA), Informatics Private Ltd, Infotel Lanka Ltd and Federation Information Technology Agency Sri Lanka.

Adjusted as the People's Leader of IT by Institute of Personal Management (IPM) Sri Lanka in 2017.

Held senior positions in Telecommunication Industry as the Consultant to CEO at Mobitel Pvt Ltd , Head of Dialog Axiata Enterprise Business. MNC experience and Uni Lever (Ceylon) Ltd and Nestle Lanka Ltd.

Graduated with BSc (Eng.) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from University Moratuwa and holds an MBA from University of Hull UK. Diploma holder of CIM (UK) and Chartered Institute of Bankers Sri Lanka (CIB).

Started engineering career at Sampath Bank Ltd as a IBM Mainframe Systems Engineer followed by PillPos Software Ltd UK, Bank of Ceylon UK Branch, Geac Computers Ltd and Millennium and Information Technologies ( MIT).

Represented Sri Lanka Universities in athletics at the World University Games in Sheffield UK in 1992. University Coloursman in Athletics, Cricket and Rowing. Served as the Secretary of University of Moratuwa Sports Council. Special interest in constitutional innovations for lean democracy in Sri Lanka.
